Initial creasing is normal and will subside within days. For quicker results, reverse-roll the rug (pile side out) and leave it in a warm area to smooth out fold marks. Regular vacuuming without a beater bar and immediate spot-cleaning will keep the rug in prime condition.

Oriental Weavers rugs are manufactured with color, design and value in mind. They are also manufactured to last for years to come. But as with all things, care and cleaning will prolong the life of the rug. For general cleaning and maintenance, the following is recommended:

General Cleaning Recommendations:

1. Vacuum regularly to remove surface soil. When vacuuming certain fibers, such as wool, set the beater bar setting to the highest adjustable height setting to prevent damaging the rug’s surface.
   
   
2. Long ends may work to the surface after use or vacuuming. Never pull these ends out of the rug but rather trim them even with the rug’s surface.
   
   
3. Clean spills and spots immediately. Never rub a spill, always blot to prevent fraying of the yarns.
   
   
4. Periodic professional cleaning is recommended.
   
   
5. Use an Oriental Weavers rug pad under all rugs, even indoor/outdoor rugs. Refer to the rug pad section to browse the complete assortment or ask a sales representative for a recommendation. Using a rug pad will extend the life of the rug.
   
   
6. Rotate the rug at least once a year, twice if in high traffic areas. No matter how dense the pile yarns or how well constructed the area rug, constant traffic patterns will begin to show. However, this process can be slowed dramatically by rotating the rug. This not only adds years to the rug but also allows the entire rug to wear at the same rate.

1-Year Limited Wear Warranty
Oriental Weavers warrants that its rugs will not experience more than 10% pile fiber loss due to abrasive wear for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery to the customer.

Coverage Includes:

• Abrasive wear only (loss of pile fiber exceeding 10%).

Exclusions:

• Burns, cuts, or tears.

• Damage resulting from improper use.

• Damage from improper cleaning agents or maintenance methods.

• Appearance changes such as matting or crushing due to heavy use (not considered wear).

Stain Resistance Information

Synthetic Rugs (e.g., Polypropylene):

• Solution-dyed fibers for inherent stain resistance.

• Low moisture absorbency helps prevent staining.

• Most spills and common stains can be cleaned with ordinary household methods.

• Professional cleaning is recommended when possible.

Wool Rugs:

• Wool is a natural fiber and more susceptible to staining.

• Follow the care instructions provided on the product label.

• New wool rugs may shed or “pill” due to the shearing process—this is normal and not considered a defect.

• Shedding may reduce with regular vacuuming but could persist in high-traffic areas.

Homeview Furniture Return Policy

Returns will only be accepted if a Return Authorization (RA) is issued by the Oriental Weavers Claims Department. Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of the invoice date. 

Conditions for Accepted Returns: 
The product must be returned in its original packaging. If the product has been used, a refund will be declined and the product returned to you, unless there is a manufacturing defect. In the case of a manufacturing defect, the product must still be returned in its original packaging.

Return Window:
Returns for products in original, unused condition must be requested within 14 days of receipt. Returns due to manufacturing defects must be requested within 30 days of receipt.

Evaluation & Fees:
Claims for defective or damaged rugs will be evaluated upon the product’s return to Oriental Weavers. Accommodation returns (non-defective items returned for reasons other than damage or defect) are subject to a 25% restocking fee. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs associated with the return. All returns are handled on a case-by-case basis by the Oriental Weavers Claims Department.
